Midware Data Systems invites its clients to an HP Software seminar
March 22, 2012 - Mzaar-Intercontinental Hotel, Lebanon

Midware Data Systems (MDS) organized an event at Mzaar-Intercontinental, in the presence of HP Software MEA management. The event that gathered executives from MDS key customers in the banking, corporate, educational, contracting, government and telecom sectors, covered HP Software IT Performance Suite, as well as the new acquisitions in the security area and their added value.
With HP IT Performance Suite, the enterprise can build faster, operate more simply, secure applications and data proactively, store information efficiently, and analyze the IT performance in real time. In addition, the HP IT Executive Scorecard gives CIOs, IT & business managers, the performance information they need to make better IT decisions and demonstrate continual improvement in IT performance.
Banque du Caire, a key HP customer from Egypt, shared his experience with HP Software solutions. After the sessions, MDS customers were invited to a skidoo tour, followed by lunch.

MDS was elected “Enterprise Servers Storage and Networking Portfolio Reseller” of the year 2011, at the HP Middle East Channel Award event. The award ceremony was held in Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai, and gathered the HP channel community from the whole Middle East region.
This award recognizes MDS very high commitment to winning on HP platforms, across all product lines, and acknowledges MDS relentless efforts to ensure customer satisfaction. “MDS truly works as an extended team to HP with unwavering focus and a refuse-to-lose attitude” said the HP award presenter.

Implementation of a Desktop Virtualization solution at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), by Midware Data Systems

Extending its server virtualization infrastructure, USEK implemented a Desktop Virtualization solution based on Citrix XenDesktop VDI and Microsoft HyperV. In addition to the replacement of elderly desktops with the market leading HP Thin Clients, more blade servers were acquired  and the storage capacity was expanded, to host the new infrastructure.

Disaster Recovery Site at Near East Commercial Bank
July 13, 2011 - Beirut

NECB implemented a full disaster recovery solution based on HP EVA Array and data replication between the main and the DR sites, in addition to a virtualized blade servers platform from HP and VMWARE. The aim is to run the Bank’s operation with minimal downtime in case of a major disaster. The solution was designed and supplied by Midware Data Systems (MDS).

KARL STORZ Regional Center for Endoscopy chose Midware Data Systems for the revamping of its data center

The Regional Center for Endoscopy representing Karl Storz medical products and devices in the Mediterranean and Gulf area, renewed its IT infrastructure in the data center. The solutions supplied by Midware Data Systems (MDS) are based on Microsoft and HP. By ensuring high availability services and state of the art performance, the new infrastructure solved among other problems the frequent email system downtimes.

Ministry of Finance implements a backup-to-disk solution based on Symantec, with the support of Midware Data Systems
January 20, 2011 - Beirut

Because of the exponential data growth leading to very lengthy backup window, Ministry of Finance implemented a state of the art backup-to-disk solution based on the market leading Symantec Netbackup. The solutions also alleviates the management headache associated with traditional backup to tape and daily relocation of tape cartridges for safe keeping, from the different directories to the headquarter. The new infrastructure deployed in MoF 2 main sites and all branches, replaces tape based backups with backups to deduplicated disk pools. It also automatically replicates the backup jobs to the HQ and to the disaster recovery site, for increased availability and offload to tape. Deduplication helped MoF containing the backup data size without impacting the current inter-site WAN bandwidth.

Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) transformed its traditional data center with HP solutions, supplied by Midware Data Systems (MDS)

The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) revamped its aging IT infrastructure that is hosting the university most critical business applications and supporting all faculties, with state-of-the-art HP solutions. The new solutions combine HP c-class blade servers, HP Enterprise Virtual Array and HP VirtualConnect technology. Furthermore this infrastructure is protected by a backup solution based on HP Data Protector and HP MSL enterprise tape libraries.
